Santhi medical information centre is a charitable organization managed by Mrs. Uma Preman with 7 Board members. We are guiding patients to the right way for their amend treatment. In our past 12 year experiences, we came to know about the difficulties of the kidney patients to get proper dialysis and prolong their life span due to unaffordable financial commitments. We have 80G income Tax exemption certificate also.

Renal failure patients need weekly minimum 2 to 3 dialysis regularly until their lifetime or kidney transplantation. So, we started subsidized dialysis centers in Kerala mainly for the unprivileged patients in Trichur Heart hospital and thangam Hospital of PMRC in Palghat. We are also proud to say as the first dialysis centre of Palghat. Here also we are providing subsidized dialysis. In 2001 we start our first dialysis in Thrissur, with rental machines.

Now we take a loan from Canara bank and purchased 3 machines. So now our monthly repayment is RS 25, 000, but we are struggling to do this. The loan repayment period is 5 years. We purchased 3 refurbished machines only because the   cost of new dialysis machine (Fresenius) is Rs: 6, 00,000/- (Rupees Six Lakh only).

We are doing 850 subsidized dialyses per month in our 2 dialysis units. 450 dialyses in Palghat Unit & 400 dialysis in Thrissur unit. Most of our patients are really very poor even to afford the subsidized dialysis charge of Rs. 350/- and Rs. 450/-.  We really struggle & find very hard to meet our Doctor Salary, electricity and dialysis disposables which comes nearly 2,25,000/- in every month. To sustain our dialysis unit, we seek help from all to generate funds to our needs for the smooth running of our units. If we get monthly a small amount it will be a great help to us.
